Day One, Year Four

So, my last year of Divinity School started today. It has been a long road and I can't believe that this day has come. I started the day off by going to Hebrew Class. It is my third semester of Hebrew and it sounds like a tough class. The professor said we are going to be doing 4 semesters of material in 1 semester. Sounds fun right? It is going to be a tough class, but strangely enough I am looking forward to it (I may not be saying that next week). After class I went to our weekly chapel service. The service started kind of late and so I had a few minutes to sit and think. In case you don't already know, I like to think (I know some of you are saying "No Kidding") I thought about over these past few years how many people I have met through school and how different it is not having them around. Some of them I know where they are now and what they are doing, but many of them I am wondering where they are. Anyway I had other thoughts on this that I will not bore you with here. I am going to do a better job this year of taking pictures. For now, I am going to post some pictures I actually took my first year of school. Enjoy:

This is a picture of the front of the divinity school. The big dome is our chapel. It is crazy that we have only one building, but you would be surprised how big the building actually is.

Here is the back of our school. It opens up onto the "quad" area. I wish I could say we have lots of cool events in our courtyard area, but we don't. On occasion I have hung out and eaten lunch with people out there, but not often enough.

Other than the Divinity School this is where I spend most of my time when I am on campus: the Library. It is the University Library. The Law School has its own library, but the divinity students use the same library as the Undergrads.

Here is another view of the library. There is a statue of Mr. Beeson just beyond the flowers (kind of hard to see him in this picture). He is who my school is named after as well as many other things on campus.

I will have more pictures as the year progresses. If tomorrow is nice I will take pictures of the garden that they made outside our school. For almost a complete year we had construction going on right outside our classrooms and it was quite the distraction on many occasions. Also, if you have any requests for pictures feel free to let me know.

With much joy,
Ben
